Captain Carter Flying High As Trump Gets Grounded

The big snooker match of this afternoons play at the players championship 2016 was between top seed, Judd Trump and Ali Carter. This snooker match was always going to be a belter between these two great players, who both have made lifestyle changes. Trump who recently admitted giving up the partying lifestyle to concentrate on his snooker and Carter, who recently made a recovery from cancer and a newly turned vegan.

IMG_3620The first two frames were shared between both players, before Carter, taking the third with a flawless century of 112 to go 1 in front of Trump. A long safety battle in the next was won by Carter who took the frame to make it 3-1. The form continued for Carter in the next frame, in which he was able to close out the match and send Trump home.
This is another disappointing snooker tournament for Trump, who was the bookies favourite again coming into the players championship, but he was unable to get past the second round.

Ding Junhiu was in top form this afternoon in the quarter finals of the snooker players championship 2016. Tipped as one of the favourites to take the trophy this year, Ding hasn’t shown any signs of being stopped. He took on the Welsh potting sensation, Michael White, whom has not had the best season so far.
The match never got going for Michael White, who suffered yet another whitewash to be beaten 4-0 by Ding, who made a sensational break of 143 in the first frame.

So far in this years championships, we have been treated some cracking matches. Last night saw Dominic Dale defeat fellow Welshman, Mark Williams in an enthralling match, that went all the way to the final frame, where Dale prevailed as winner.
