Captain Carter sets up semi-final clash with Un-Nooh

Ali Carter has set up a semi final showdown with Thai sensation, Un-Nooh, which promises to be a belter of a match.

Carter hammered John Higgins 5-0 today, giving Higgins little or no chances in the match. This will be Ali Carters first Semi-Final since the Paul Hunter classic in 2014.

Un-Nooh booked his place in the semi’s by defeating co-youngster Anthony McGill by 5-2. Un-Nooh, who knocked out world No.1, Mark Selby earlier in the week, will be hoping to reach his first professional final.

Carter and Un-Nooh will come head to head on Saturday which promises to be an exceptional match by these two characters.

On the other side of the draw, Neil Robertson takes on David Gilbert and  Shaun Murphy will take on Joe Perry later today.

Neil Robertson is the bookies favorite for the title, closely followed by Shaun Murphy.
