Day two of the European Masters from Romania had some good snooker play from the worlds top players.
The headline act of course was the “Rocket” Ronnie O’Sullivan as he took on David Gilbert. In this match O’Sullivan was relentless and quickly dished up a 3-0 lead. Gilbert came back in the fourth frame but it was too little, too late as O’Sullivan cleared up to seal his victory 4-1.
Ronnie O’Sullivan will now take on Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen, a match not to be missed.
The big shock so far has been the exit of Shaun Murphy, who suffered a crushing loss to Mark Davis by 4-1. The match lacked fireworks from both players and it was apparent Murphy was not on form at all. Mark Davis did however make less mistakes and he also made hid 200th century break in the match.
Judd Trump was tested against Ben Woolaston as he scrapped over the line 4-3. Although there was some decent break building from the Bristol lad, some of the frames went scrappy and they were the ones Trump was losing.
