Joe Perry has had a long career which first started in 1991. Reaching his first ranking final at the European Open, Joe Perry seemed to be on track for a prosperous career. But following this, Perry did not reach another final until 13 years later at the Wuxi classic, China. His first ranking win came at the Players Championship Grand Final at the age of 40. Perry has also reached the semi finals of the UK championship on two occasions and the semi finals of the World Championship on on occasion.

Joe Perry plays at the Cambridge snooker centre and practices with his good friend and practice partner Neil Robertson.

Commentated by some as a ‘journeyman’, Perry has enjoyed success in the top 32 of the world for many years, but has failed to establish himself as a regular tournament winner. But Perry is one of the most experienced and dangerous opponents for any player.
