Mark Allen is a Northern Irish professional snooker player currently ranked No.6 in the world. He entered the professional tour in 2005 after winning the world amateur championship the previous year. Although not prolific at winning events, Allen often gets to the latter stages of tournaments and is reflected in his rankings.

He has reached the final of the 2011 UK championship and in 2016 has won the Players championship in Manchester. Mark Allen’s style of play is attacking and has the ability to score high breaks. His cue action is considered to be a bit different to most players but it works for him.

His temperament on and off the table is fantastic, often pulling jokes and smiling which is always welcomed by fans and fellow professionals.
