As we come down to the business end of the snooker players championship 2016 we take a look at the line up for the day.
First up this afternoon, Ding Junhiu will take on Barry Hawkins. With Ding in good form lately, he will be expected to dominate over an inconsistent Hawkins. Ding has coasted his way to this stage of the snooker tournament so far, while Hawkins has struggled, only narrowly beating Robert Milkins last night 4-3. The match kicks off at 13.00.
The second match in the quarters of the players championship is between Ali Carter and Ricky Walden. Ali, playing some very good snooker yesterday to send Judd Trump home will be favourite, however Ricky Walden has potential to beat Carter. This match could be an evenly matched contest.
Later this evening, Northern Irelands Mark Allen takes on Mike Dunn. Mark Allen is favourite to win this match, however with his inconsistent play recently, there could be potential for an upset. Mike Dunn is an experienced player, although not so much at the latter stages of tournaments. Allen will be expected to win this one. This evenings play kicks off at 19.00.
The final snooker match of the quarter finals will see Shaun Murphy taking on Ben Woolaston. Murphy is the overwhelming favourite to win this match, particularly after his last night performance against Dominic Dale.
