Stuart Bingham was in fine form this afternoon against Sam Baird at the China Open. Bingham, currently placed No.2 in the world had three century breaks of 143, 119 and a 109. The score at the end of the match was 5-3 Bingham.
Bingham’s recent good form has come just in time for the world championships next month where he will be contending to retain his title and also to take the No.1 spot.
Marco Fu was also in great form today playing Yu De Lu. Marco had breaks of 123, 64, 115, 111 and 68 to secure his place in the next round of the china open. Final score 5-2 Marco Fu.
Martin Gould was whitewashed 5-0 by young Yuan Sijun who had impressive breaks of 51, 55 and a century break of 102.
Elsewhere Kyren Wilson defeated Tom Ford 5-3 and Ryan Day beat Dechawat Poomjang by 5-4.
