Judd Trump, Stephen Maguire, John Higgins, Shaun Murphy and Graeme Dott are just some of the players that won today at the snooker China Open 2016.
Judd Trump played well today with a consistent performance to beat Jimmy Robertson 5-1 in the last 32 of the China open. With breaks of 70, 97, 69 and 60, Trump has found some form after disappointing performances at the Grand Prix and Players Championships.
Stephen Maguire had a great win beating Jack Lisowski 5-2. Breaks of 76, 83, 101, 72 and 71 secured his place in the next round of the snooker china open. Maguire is currently trying to make it to the semi final stage to secure his top 16 place ahead of the world championship qualifiers which he will be hoping to avoid.
John Higgins was also in good form against Mark Joyce. With breaks of 119, 65, 88, 60 and 86, John looks to have found some good form in the China open.
Shaun Murphy was in action today against David Grace. Murphy, the Grand Prix winner and Players championship semi finalist has been in terrific form lately, just in time for the world championships next months.
Graeme Dott knocked out the 15 year old amateur player Yuan Sijun by 5-2. The young player has proved himself this week, beating the likes of Martin Gould yesterday.
Elsewhere in the snooker china open, Dominic Dale, Tian Pengfei, Marco fu, David Gilbert, Rory Mcleod and Ricky Walden, also secured their spots in the next round.
