The speculation began a number of weeks ago when O’Sullivan hinted his desire to take part in CBB during an interview with Steve Davis.
“I’ve always fancied Big Brother. I’d love to do it. If the bosses are listening, I’m your guy,” O’Sullivan said.
We all know how tightly lipped the producers are about upcoming casts for the popular show, but the rumours are getting stronger as the start date comes closer.
Channel 5 have released two hints over possible house mates in a last couple of days, none of which fit O’Sullivan’s profile yet, but there’s plenty more hints to come, according to Channel 5.
It’s known that CBB will feature celeb’s from previous shows as well as new celebrities in what promises to be the most explosive series the show has ever seen.
Some of the rumoured past contestants may include; Katie Price, Callum Best, Katie Hopkins, ‘Nasty’ Nick Bates, Jedward, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.
New contestants may also include; TOWIE’s star Danielle Armstrong, Bianca Gascoigne, Jody Latham and Jessica Cunningham.
So how would a snooker player fit in among this crowd?
Ronnie O’Sullivan ain’t your typical snooker player though. He’s long been known as slightly unpredictable who once walked out of a match against Stephen Hendry at the UK Championship, announced retirement from the sport on several occasions and regularly has outbursts at events, to name a few.
“I’d nail the psychology tests. I know all the right answers for them. I’ve seen so many of them, I know exactly what to say”, O’Sullivan said to Davis.
Ronnie’s snooker career has been one of the best there’s ever been, with 28 ranking titles in total. Not only that, but his natural talent and flamboyant style of play has made O’Sullivan one of the most popular players snooker has ever seen.
For this reason, fans right across the globe would love nothing more than to see Ronnie in CBB where they could get a chance to really know the man behind the cue, but we’ll have to wait until January 3rd to find out for sure.
